International Explorations
TAASC offers language immersion to school groups through international adventure programs. Our current international adventure takes place in Atenas, Costa Rica. Atenas serves as a base for students to learn and perfect their Spanish at Isabel's House, a local Spanish school. Students stay with local families, learn about Tico culture, and participate in community service projects. On the weekends students travel and learn from Costa Rica's Pacific Coast and Cloud Forest. These unique geographical regions serve as magnificent teachers of science and adventure. Students learn about underwater ecosystems and how to surf on the Pacific Coast. In the Cloud Forest, they learn about microclimates, and experience the joys of hiking and playing under beautiful waterfalls.
